Bhadra
Are important occasions in your life postponed due to the wrong timings?
Is Bhadra delaying happiness from entering your life?
According to Vedic Astrology, Bhadra, also known as the Vishti Karan is born from the form of Lord Shiva. Bhadra is rule by the Lord of Death Yama. Although the verbal meaning of the word is welfare and auspicious, but it acts exactly the opposite and is a sign of being inauspicious. Two karnas make one Hindu tithi and the presence of Vishti Karan makes it a Bhadra. Bhadra occurs four times in each Paksha of the Hindu calendar.
Bhadra is known to be the daughter of Sun and Chaya and like sister to Shani. She thus carries the ferocious nature and form similar to Shani. She is outlined as having the face of a donkey, with a long tail, huge teeth, having 7 hands and 3 legs. Bhadra is further described as the one that is painful for humans, demons and Gods. Bhadra is divided into five parts – Mouth (Mukh), Throat (Kanth), Heart (Hridaya) and Tail (Pucha). It resides in the mouth of 5 hours, the throat for 3 hours, the heart for 11 hours and in the tail for 5 hours.
It is believed that if any work or occasion begins or ends during Bhadra, it would be inauspicious.
